Matt Mead is a Minneapolis based photojournalist and co-founder of the Middle Western. Throughout the years, Matt has had his work featured in publications such as The Minnesota Daily, Pionner Press, Star Tribune, Washington Post, Denver Post, Virginian Pilot, as well as other statewide and international publications. His work on the 35W Bridge Collapse has had international recognition and received an Emmy Award in 2008. After being the Multimedia Editor at the Minnesota Daily for three years, Matt moved on to solely freelance for various publications and eventually co-found the Middle Western in 2012 with Tony Libera.
